Oooops.. no more punched circles! Alternative: Cut a circle and use a regular punch! But it would not be a perfect circle.. no problem, it would not be exact but this portion can be hidden under the photo! :)
The AAS red velvet lace was packed with a black paper to show contrast - this is what I used to cut the circle and punched around. The remaining paper was punched as butterflies!
I used AAS as the long strip base for the picture which were spruced by use of a puncher. I also used two washi tapes to add more pattern.
The round thing on the center of the black? That is actually a pin holder.. i layered it with gesso so I can add color and when dried up, dabbed with an acrylic dabber, and this was attached by a brad!

FSCB 15 : HA LONG BAY
Found another AAS Velvet Lace! I thought I already have used all the stash .. so I looked for a nice picture - saw one of the few pics of me, my mom and Tita Pat from our Vietnam Trip in Ha Long Bay.
For something different, I cut the center to serve as frame for the picture, I used a cutter and had to try several times.. the felt was difficult to cut out! I even had to use scissors.
Then I found a discontinued paper set of boats and sails from AAS and used it as mat and embellisment. Simple and perfect!

FSCB 15 : BRING IT ON!
Finally tried the technique of Iris Uy - its sort of basically layered misting. You mist the paper to place to add, dry it for aorund 20 seconds, place the mask, and then mist it with water!
Tita Pat was wearing this white with multicolored stripes - and I found patterned paper that matches it! Then for a small touch, I cut out an acrylic bar code from AAS fabric flower boxes! Just to complement the stripes.!
Not much embellishment because I want some focus on the base paper - which took some effort!

FSCB 15 : OMG
OMG - Oh My God! Most of my life, from childhood to adulthood ... I always have sported short hair - basically as it is more masculine. But when my father died and living abroad, I had the courage to experiment! So I took a picture for posterity... which usually elicits a shock!!!
Yeah, my face is that of my Mother, no DNA testing required....

FSCB 15 : SAY WHAT
Actually.. I was touring all by myself. I was alone and the only other one I can have in the picture is statue! Oh well, I still did have a great time in my visit to the Crocodile farm of Davao City.
And a greater time making this layout. The base paper has a negative printout since I placed it above another paper still with the mask on - i do want to maximize the mist and have a different impression.
The pink felt dragonfly was one of the goodies I got from Sunshine!

FSCB 15: ROCK IT
This is the normal impression - place the mask then put some mist. Somehow the background round gears and all, sunlight is appropriate with the round thingy of the basilica.
I actually placed a red foam cat on the middle - the red goes with the red design of the sun but it does not look good with the classic design of the church or the back ground... looking at the stash.. found this white angels... very plain white! Learning from Iris Uy, I tried to use distress ink first which did not adhere, so i used Patina! (I only have three colors so pale blue wings, pinkish angels, and violet roses ).
This was the first day of our Vietnam tour - I was tired and sleepy from the travel but we were ready to ROCK IT!

FSCB 15 : KARL
Karl, the eldest of my brother's brood is intelligent, smart.. cunning.. and unfortunately a bully! He reasons that its better to be a bully than to be bullied at school... oh well, he is not my son and as long as he does not get too much trouble.
For these batch of three layouts - I decorated the circle with gems, it was time consuming but i think it came out nicely. I also used AAS fabric and felt flowers, just not sure if they are still available.

SCB 15 : THE GOOD LIFE
I am in love with the Martha Stewart circle cutter! And it was so much nicer to embellish it with gems from All About Scrapbooking (AAS).
In this picture, its my Mom, my sister in law Gemma, and her two sons - Karl (eldest at 12) and Kianel ( 2nd and youngest at 10).
Obet had decided to color code his family at orange, the color assigned to him in another gathering year or years ago : which he had sort of maintained on family gatherings.
My Mom is still obviously the fairest, which is why I would joke at her being Snow, as in Snow White!

FSCB 15 : INSPIRATION
Last 16 December 2012, the first and only reunion of the Baltazar clan was held. But due to my health condition, I chose to stay home. My one and only Full brother, Robert aka Obet took pictures a plenty!
So here is to scrapping the pictures using the FSCB 15 challenge. Again, thank you to Iris Babao - Uy, who lent me her Martha Stewart round circle puncher / cutter. I jokingly referred to it as her new toy - which left me and other scrapbookers salivating for it!

FSCB 15: ME AMUSING ME
Make faces! Take self pics! and then Laugh at yourself, by yourself - laughter is good for the health!
Alone is not exactly lonely. Self pics and making faces is a good past time for me - it breaks boredom of being just by myself. Why rely on others to amuse yourself, do it yourself! Amuse yourself!

FSCB 15 : ME
A shy smile ... with the camera angled downwards, that should do the trick for a slimmer face!
A simple monochromatic page, got the idea from a challenge at sketches for all. And for a little pizzas is to add some gemstones!

FSCB 15 : SERIOUSLY
A serious face, no smile, as to keep a slimmer face since smiling broadens my face!
Entering 3 layouts on 03 March 2103 ... I hope third try is a charm, after all, three is a magickal number and has always been showing in my life!
